Mission:

To provide the avenue for the Defence Force Family members to mutually support and provide assistance to each other through knowledge & information sharing, guidance, programmes and the building of effective family networks in an atmosphere of trust, confidentiality and mutual respect. .

Backgroung Information

TTDFFST was established in 2003 it was the Vision of former Chief of Defence Staff, Brigadier John Sandy, this Vision was realised under former Chief of Defence Staff, Brigadier Ancil Antoine

Former Structure

TTDFFST operated through a committee structure ¨ Steering Committee - focused on policy and strategy ¨ Secretariat, PR/Marketing, Events, etc.

New Structure

The new structure was implemented in January 2007

Objectives

To help families develop positive attitudes towards and a better understanding of military life ¨ To engender a sense of community among families (the need to take care of our own)
