THE TTDF STRATEGIC REVIEW PLANNING PROCESS

The Force has therefore identified the following as key in the transformation of the Force:

  • Leverage technology
  • Develop leadership at all levels
  • Complement existing Regional security frameworks
  • Be a contributor to international peace and security
  • Provide Potent solutions to National & Regional Defence, Security & Disaster issues
  • Possess a more educated and relevant force with the correct mix of human and other resources

In our efforts at improving the service we render to our nation, the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force has commenced a Strategic Review Exercise aimed at better aligning the Force’s Strategic direction with the Government’s Vision 2020 goals, and the ever-evolving defence and security environment.

As part of this exercise, The Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force has begun the process of developing a Strategic Plan employing consultants of the Aubrey Armstrong Management Association (AAMA) to assist the Force in this endeavour. The Plan is being developed on a consultative and collaborative basis involving the input of all ranks within the Defence Forceestablish communication and support networks for families (esp. during period of deployment

Tmeaningful services through its strength and readiness by offering services that reduce stress,build skills and self-confidence and foster strong esprit de corps.The Welfare department also help the Defence Force attract and retain talented people. The welfare department is proof of the Defence Force commitment to caring for the people who serve and stand ready to defend the nation.
